What do I do now?

1. What happened?

Find contractors near you

Type a ZIP or a city. Contractors whose websites we checked come first.

Is your installer on this list?

Pages for solar companies that closed, and for equipment brands — each with sources, warranty facts, and contractors whose own sites name the brand.

Warranty checker · facts checked Oct 26, 2026

Is my warranty still good?

Two different warranties. Tap one to see what usually happens to it for each brand. Sources are linked. Not legal advice.

General information from the companies’ public pages (linked). Not legal advice, and not a promise of coverage from any company. Confirm with the warranty provider.

General market information — not a quote

What could detach & reset cost?

Typical published range
($200–$300/panel)
$4,000 – $6,000
Full spread of CA prices we found
($80–$350/panel)
$1,600 – $7,000

This multiplies your panel count by per-panel prices that contractors and EnergySage publish[1][2][3][4][5]. This is general, sourced market information. It is not a quote or a price from any contractor, and not a price from OrphanSolarHelp; listed contractors set their own prices. Real quotes depend on roof type, racking, electrical work and access. Roofing work is usually extra.

How this works

1

We read the CSLB list

Every active California Solar (C-46) license, plus solar-named Electrical (C-10) licenses.

2

We read their websites

For “checked” companies we quote the exact sentence saying they service other installers’ systems or remove and reinstall panels — with a link and a date.

3

You choose

Call a listed company yourself, or share a request and we pass it to a licensed contractor who may contact you — only if you agree. You hire and pay them directly.

How we make money

Right now we don’t. The site is free for homeowners and contractors.

  • Later, contractors may pay a flat fee per homeowner request shared with them. Never a percentage of your job. You never pay us, and you contract and pay the contractor directly.
  • There are no paid or featured placements today. Any that are added will be labeled “Paid listing”, will show the contractor’s CSLB license number and classification, will only describe work that classification covers, and will never be ranked above checked listings.
  • No ads, no affiliate links, no selling your data.
