The short version
- No cookies, no ad trackers, no accounts. We don’t sell or rent your information.
- We only get your details if you send a form.
- If you agree on the form, we share your request with one licensed contractor we match you with. That’s it.
- Ask us to delete it any time: [email protected].
What we collect
- Homeowner request form: name, phone, ZIP code, job type, and optionally the installer or equipment brand, installer name and a short note. We also store the page you sent it from, the time, your country (from our host), your browser type, and a record of whether you checked the consent box, the exact consent wording, and when.
- Contractor form: company, CSLB license number, contact name, email, phone, a link to your website, the jobs and areas you serve, and your confirmation that you can act for the company.
- Visits: our host, Cloudflare, provides cookieless, aggregate web analytics (pages viewed, referrers, country, device type). It doesn’t use cookies or build a profile of you. Cloudflare may also process IP addresses for security.
We never ask for Social Security numbers, bank or loan documents, or account logins. Please don’t put them in the notes.
How we use it
- To find a matching contractor and, only if you checked the consent box, send your request to that one contractor so they can call or text you about the job.
- To answer contractor listing and pilot requests.
- To keep the site working and stop spam.
Who we share it with
- One matched contractor, if you consented. That contractor is a separate business with its own privacy practices.
- Our service providers (Cloudflare hosting and storage; email) only to run the site.
- If the law requires it.
We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used in California law, and we have no ads.
How long we keep it
Homeowner requests are set to delete automatically after 12 months. Contractor listing requests are kept while the listing is active. Ask us and we’ll delete sooner.
Your choices and California rights
You can ask to know what we have about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We won’t treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm the request came from you (for example, by matching the phone number on the request). Your browser’s “Do Not Track” signal doesn’t change anything here because we don’t track you across sites.
Children
This site is for homeowners and contractors, not children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
