OrphanSolarHelp is a directory, not a contractor. We don’t perform, quote, supervise, or guarantee any work. We are an advertising and referral directory — not the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, not a lender and not a law firm. We don’t promise any warranty, price or response time.
New Jersey listings come from the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs (DCA) public license roster: active Electrical Business Permits and active Home Improvement Contractor registrations whose business name includes “solar”, downloaded Oct 31, 2026; other active electrical contractor businesses are shown in a separate, collapsed list. We pick “solar” firms by the business name only. We have not checked any listed company’s website or what work it does. DCA says registration with the State “does not constitute an endorsement of or approval for the home improvement contractor.” Source: DCA consumer brief. Confirm any license at the NJ DCA License Verification before you hire. Orphan Solar Help is not affiliated with the DCA or any listed company. Nothing here is legal advice.
How we make money: today, we don’t — the site is free for homeowners and contractors. Later, contractors may pay a flat fee per homeowner request shared with them. Never a percentage of your job. There are no paid or featured placements today.
