Who services SunStrong Management systems now?

SunStrong Management says it was formed in Q3 2024 “to manage solar assets otherwise abandoned in bankruptcy,” and that it took over management of 110k+ former SunPower customers and assets, 400k+ former Sunnova customers and assets, and a portion of former PosiGen customers and assets (Q1 2026).[1][2][3] Here’s who to contact, and California contractors that say on their own websites they service systems other companies installed.

What SunStrong says it does[2][1]

On its homeowner page SunStrong says it handles “the contract, the billing, the maintenance, and the support.” It describes itself as an operations and asset-management company, not an installer.

Where to pay and get help[3]

SunStrong’s account page lists separate payment portals by original company (for example SunPower and Sunnova, lease/PPA and loan). Use the one for your original company.

Who honors my warranty after SunPower's bankruptcy?

Owners of systems installed before SunPower's September 2024 sale don't know who to call for a bad panel, microinverter or workmanship problem.

  1. Understand who is who. SunPower Inc. (formerly Complete Solaria) bought the SunPower brand on Sept 30 2024 and says it took no interest in leases, PPAs or equipment installed on or before that date.   2. Warranties now sit with each component maker, and each decides eligibility under its own current terms. SunPower Inc. publishes a contact directory (Qcells, REC, Waaree, Enphase, Fronius, Fimer) you can use to find the right maker for your equipment.   3. Panels: Maxeon says it covers legacy SunPower panels with limited coverage, only for panels installed before Aug 5 2024 and self-registered with Maxeon before Dec 31 2024.   4. Microinverters: Enphase says it honors its 25-year limited warranty on Enphase microinverters in legacy SunPower systems. Cash and loan customers call (510) 945-6752. SunStrong Connect app shows my system offline or won't connect

After SunStrong ended free cellular connectivity, many owners' monitors show offline or the Wi-Fi setup fails.

  1. Update the SunStrong Connect app, then open the Profile icon. If the connection shows WiFi, Ethernet or Power-Line, no action is needed. If it shows Cellular, Communication Down or Unknown, action is needed. Source: SunStrong Help Center (read Oct 31, 2026)
  2. To move to Wi-Fi: Profile, then WiFi Settings, then follow the in-app workflow. SunStrong says only 2.4 GHz networks are supported. Public Wi-Fi and phone hotspots are not supported. Source: SunStrong cellular-to-WiFi migration page (read Oct 31, 2026)
  3. If Wi-Fi is weak, SunStrong lists these options: use Ethernet, use power-line adapters on the same circuit, use Wi-Fi extenders, or move the router closer. Is SunStrong Connect now charging me for monitoring?

Owners say the app's free features shrank after the move from mySunPower and they are unsure what costs money.

  1. SunStrong says the basic app is free: alerts, live monitoring, SunVault management, WiFi management and firmware updates. The old mySunPower web portal has been discontinued. Source: SunStrong Help Center (read Oct 31, 2026)

My SunStrong bill changed or I can't tell who to pay

After a servicer change, bills include sales tax or arrive from a new payee, and support lines are slow.

  1. Confirm SunStrong is your servicer: look for a SunStrong email, a bill after the transfer, or contact SunStrong Customer Care. SunStrong took over accounts from SunPower, Sunnova, PosiGen and GoodLeap. Source: SunStrong Help Center (read Oct 31, 2026)
  2. Keep paying as usual unless SunStrong tells you otherwise. SunStrong says contract terms are unchanged apart from contract escalators and sales-tax changes. Selling or refinancing a home with a SunStrong-managed system

Lease transfers during escrow stall for weeks or months.

Who is responsible for repairs: me, SunStrong or the installer?

Owners with failed or underperforming systems are told repairs aren't SunStrong's responsibility.

  1. SunStrong says it does not provide maintenance for customers who own their systems outright (cash, or a paid-off lease, loan or PPA). Installation issues go to the original installer.
